Last week, the Boost U class visited Glassdoor’s headquarters, in Mill Valley, CA. It was an afternoon well-spent, getting to learn about the job search engine/review site, and connecting with their awesome employees. Highlights included:
- Touring their pet-friendly office space with stellar views of the Bay. Perks include soundproof phone booths, kayak rentals, a game room, free lunch everyday and puppies galore.
- Learning about Glassdoor and what they do. The job search site helps job and internship seekers learn about companies, and has a forum for reviews on everything from CEO ratings to salaries. It is also a great way for companies to post jobs and show off their company culture — Boost included!
- Hearing from Glassdoor employees from the business development and marketing teams about how they kickstarted their careers and discovered what they love to do.
- Connecting with Glassdoor’s own interns. Two of them found out that they attend the same university in Virigina- small world.
