San Francisco, CA – August 14, 2015 – Boost Media today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Tim Krozek as Chief Executive Officer. Krozek previously held the position of chief revenue officer leading Boost’s global enterprise sales and marketing organization.
“I joined Boost Media to be a part of a company with infinite opportunities and limitless potential. Today I am even more confident that Boost is that company,” said Krozek. “David Greenbaum’s vision and leadership have built Boost into one of the most influential companies in digital marketing that is committed to delivering powerful SaaS technology, dedicated customer service, and empowering employees. The opportunity that lies ahead of us has never been greater, and I am focused on accelerating our ability to bring innovative products to our customers more quickly.”
David Greenbaum, who co-founded the company in 2009 and has served as CEO since then, is moving on to pursue other entrepreneurial projects.
Since joining the company in 2013, Krozek has led the company’s global enterprise sales and marketing teams that drive all of Boost’s revenue. He has helped grow Boost’s customer base 5x and more than quadrupled total revenue in less than two years. Additionally, he has helped lead and execute many of the company’s strategy shifts and operations processes, including expanding internationally into the UK and scaling the business. As a member of the executive team that has led Boost Media’s transformation, Krozek has driven the success and innovation of Boost’s sales and marketing organizations, which impact the face of digital marketing every day.
“During this time of transformation, there is no better person to lead Boost Media than Tim Krozek,” said Roger Lee of Battery Ventures. “Tim is a proven leader with more than 20 years of industry expertise, business vision, and the ability to bring people together. His vision for how digital marketing will be used and experienced by Boost’s customers is exactly what Boost needs as the company enters its next phase of expanded product innovation and growth.”
Prior to Boost Media, Krozek was responsible for Efficient Frontier’s global revenue and client acquisition efforts. He helped grow the original 15-person team to 220 employees and more than $40 million in revenue. Efficient Frontier would later be acquired by Adobe (NASDAQ: ADBE). He also ran Support.com’s global sales and business development, program management, and client services. He later managed Flite.com’s revenue generation efforts for its brand, agency and publisher business.
Since 2009, when Greenbaum first co-founded the company, Boost grew to serve more than 150 enterprise customers and delivered $1 billion in optimized digital ads.
“As Boost Media enters its next chapter and accelerates its leadership in ad creative optimization, the Board and myself look forward to working equally closely with Tim,” said Jed Katz at Javelin Venture Partners. “He’s exactly the right leader to jump into the pilot’s seat and elevate Boost to the next level.”
