Halloween is over (candy hangover, anyone?), our clocks fell back an hour, and Starbucks rolled out the seasonal red cups. Yes, the holidays are officially here. Google is kicking off the season of gift giving and has a special present for you.
Recently Google released a set of 750 cool, reusable icons you can use for mobile apps and web design. And the best part is? They’re free.
As part of its Material Design project, Google created these lovely icons in hopes of developing a single system to provide a unified visual experience across all platforms and devices for users. The goal is to create a new visual language that combines good design with technology and science.
Right on, Google. Aim high.
The icons are symbols commonly used across different apps and the web, including icons for connectivity, bookmarks, favorites and brightness. They are useful for app developers building for the web, i0S or Android. These icons are available under a CC-BY-SA Creative Commons license, so you have free reign to do with them as you please.
We think these are pretty cool, and hope you do too. Enjoy!
