Ad Age Digital Conference

On Tuesday, Ad Age rounded up brand leaders and community innovators to help marketers understand how to keep up with changing technology and consumer behavior at the annual Digital Conference in San Francisco.

Facebook’s Chief Marketing Officer Gary Briggs spoke about the profound effect solid storytelling and targeting can have on an ad campaign. He shared three things he has learned in developing Facebook’s brand over the last year:

  1. Stories that move people speak to moments that aren’t that surprising
  2. Stories that matter to people are stories from their own lives
  3. Determine how you can make a unique contribution to big global events

The conference continued with the CMO Strategy Summit on Wednesday, where marketers with budgets of all sizes gathered to learn about and debate what works and what doesn’t.
